Atlanta Hawks Strike Streaming Alliance With Amazon’s Prime Video

The Atlanta Hawks have entered a streaming alliance with Amazon Prime Video, making local games available to subscribers in a five-state region.

Local Hawks games not exclusive to national broadcasts will be available on Prime Video starting in the 2026-2027 season. The coverage includes Georgia, Alabama, Tennessee, South Carolina, and Mississippi.

Prime Video will offer these broadcasts at no additional cost to subscribers in the region. The streamer will have digital exclusivity for 74 games of the full 82-game regular season.

The broadcasts will be simulcast with local TV on WANF-TV and other free platforms operated by Gray Media.

Only viewers within the five-state footprint will have access to the telecasts.

The Hawks open their 2026-27 season on Wednesday.

This marks the first time an NBA team has streamed its full regular season on a digital platform in this manner.

The agreement does not include nationally broadcast games.

The number of games covered may vary based on national media partner preferences.

Andrew Saltzman, who holds the roles of president of business enterprise and chief commercial officer for both the Atlanta Hawks and State Farm Arena, has verified the agreement.

The deal is part of a broader trend of sports teams adjusting how they deliver games to fans digitally.
